Expert help for dry skin

The Eucerin line-up
The Eucerin range offers a wide choice of products that can be used separately for specific areas of the body, or combined as a skin care régime. All nine products in the Eucerin Dry Skin range are free from perfume and colourants and are clinically proven to increase moisture levels in the skin. They have been developed to meet the diverse needs of dry skin.

Many people find that they need different emollients for different parts of the body (eg, a heavier emollient for the limbs and a lighter product for the face). They may also find that they need a higher strength product as a treatment. The majority of Eucerin products contain urea in concentrations of 5%, Eucerin Intensive Lotion 10% Cutaneous Emulsion and Intensive 10% Urea Treatment Cream, containing the higher level of urea, are available on prescription for more severe dry skin.

Why urea?
Urea is a natural moisturiser found in healthy skin. People with dry skin lack the normal levels of urea needed to maintain healthy, hydrated skin.
It binds water molecules in the skin, helping to maintain its natural moisture balance and suppleness.
Directly rehydrates the skin to soften and reduce cracking and roughness.
Helps to break the cycle of itching and irritation caused by dry skin, as well as reducing the skin’s moisture loss.
Clinical trials
Eucerin Dry Skin Intensive 10% w/w Urea Treatment Cream1 is effective in the treatments of patients with atopic dermatitis.

    - Improved barrier function of the skin.
Was well tolerated by most patients.
